“…My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you… May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me…”

God has instilled a passion in the hearts of people for many years to bring the CSU campus together as ONE body of Christ. In the fall of 2004, this passion started to become a reality.  A group of students from various Christian groups began to unite for the purpose of planning a rally of sorts, a night of praise set to take place at Moby Arena in April, 2005. The goal of this night was to see students rise up in unified boldness, having seen the numbers that serve God, and spread His love to a very needy and open campus. There were three main ideas that encompassed the purpose of the event: instilling boldness in the believers, igniting a fire in the fallen, and creating a longing in the lost.

This effort gained the support of many CSU faculty members who embraced the idea after recent alcohol related deaths at CSU. Resources began to come out of the woodwork and students who were gifted in specific areas of need began to emerge. The team grew to about 30 students who banded together in love to make this happen.

Then on April 30th, 2005, over 2500 students from CSU and all over Colorado gathered at Moby Arena to worship and pray at “ONE”. This event was completely student run and organized; unaffiliated with any single church or college ministry. This was their mission statement: “While preparing the hearts and souls of the CSU campus for a mighty revival, we will walk as God's chosen vessels, radical for Him each and every day in order that He might unify us by His Spirit into ONE body, not just at CSU but throughout the world.” (Eph 4:12, 13)

God moved in a mighty way that night touching hearts and transforming lives for His glory. There were so many testimonies of what God did that night including many giving their lives to Jesus. Little did these students know that God had started something through them that would become a movement that would continue even when they had left CSU.

To this day the heart of ONE, that is unity and love between all believers, has continued to grow.  The spark at Moby Arena in 2005 has ignited a constant flame that is burning in the hearts of many believers on campus.  Each semester, hundreds of students have gathered at the Lory Student Center Theater to declare that this passion to see a campus united for Christ exists in their hearts.  Every semester we meet, every semester we celebrate together, and every semester the flame, the heart of ONE, burn hotter and hotter.
